How long does a tessellated floor take?
Most verandahs and front paths take a few days on site once the base is ready. Larger or more intricate floors take longer. We give you a realistic timeframe with your quote.
Do I need a permit for a heritage home?
Often not for like-for-like repairs, which are usually exempt under a heritage overlay. New work can differ by council. We will tell you where you stand and can work with your heritage consultant or architect.
Can you match my existing tiles?
Usually. A few surviving tiles, or even an old photograph, is generally enough for us to identify the pattern and source period-accurate replicas in the right sizes and colours.
Are the tiles slippery outside?
No. We use unglazed full-body porcelain, which is naturally slip-resistant and made for Melbourne weather. There is no sealing to redo.
Do you work with builders and architects?
Yes. We supply and install to spec on heritage renovations and period-style new builds, and match patterns and timelines to the plans.
Ready to plan your floor?
Send a photo of the space or your plans. We will sketch a floor and give you a fixed quote, usually the same day.
