Pattern Matching
A few surviving tiles, or even an old photograph, is usually enough. We identify the original pattern and source period-accurate replicas in the right sizes and colours.
Match what the original tiler laid
We identify a pattern from fragments, a neighbour’s floor or archive photos, then source period-accurate replicas from specialist heritage suppliers.
This like-for-like work often keeps repairs permit-exempt under a heritage overlay, and we can supply only, or supply and lay.
- Pattern identification from tiles, photos or surveys
- Colour, dimension and profile matched to the original
- Procurement from specialist heritage suppliers
- Quantities and wastage calculated for you
- Supply-only, or supply and install

Good to know
How long does sourcing take?
Common patterns are usually two to three weeks. Less common patterns can take six to eight weeks depending on the supplier.
Can you supply tiles for my own tiler?
Yes. We offer a supply-only option, matched and quantified, if you have your own installer.
How close is the match?
We match size, colour and profile to period-accurate replicas so the repair reads as original.
Ready to plan your floor?
Send a photo of the space or your plans. We will sketch a floor and give you a fixed quote, usually the same day.
